Beauty | Winter-Proof Your Skin + GLOW for a cause

Hi friends!

Today,  I wanted to share some of my favorite skin care products that have been keeping me moisturized this winter! With cold air and sickness, my skin has taken some hits this season. I'm on a mission to get my skin hydrated and glowy again! I also wanted to share an awesome company with you guys. I've recently discovered GLOW for a cause, a beauty company that gives to a non-profit with every item purchased! Their unique mission really caught my eye. The company was founded my artist, teacher, and skincare productista, Johanna Querry Smith. Every time you buy a GLOW for a cause product, you're giving back 5% to one other partner non-profit organizations! How cool is that?!

Their partners  include:
Cowgirls vs. Cancer provides retreat scholarships for women with breast cancer to experience healing with horses and yoga in Montana http://cowgirlyoga.com

Boston Firefighter's Burn Foundation is comprised of Boston firefighters who volunteer their time to provide emotional and financial support to burn victims and their families http://bostonfirefightersburnfoundation.com

The Red Sox Foundation provides tutoring, mentoring, enrichment programs and college scholarships to academically talented but economically disadvantaged students through their Red Sox Scholars Program http://redsoxfoundation.org

MaxFund Animal Adoption Center is  true no kill animal shelter in Colorado, giving animals, including the injured, abandoned and abused, a second chance at life http://maxfund.org

The Gathering Place is Denver's only drop-in center and community of hope for women, children and transgender individuals who are experiencing homelessness or poverty http://tgpdenver.org

Berni's Journey is a cinematic quest that serves as a mirror for us to reflect on universal themes of happiness, hope and living authentically. Answer the call of adventure and become the hero of your own story http://www.bernisjourney.com

So not only are they giving back to the community in a huge way, but they're creating ultra soft products that are super hydrating and nourishing. Their body butters are incredibly soft and the scent of the Wish butter is light and lovely. It smells really good, but it's not overpowering at all. Check out their site to see all their products and more of what they're doing to give back!

Now for my favorite winter skincare products!

Here are the essentials:

1. Cliff Original Exfoliating Body Bar in Bergamot & Lavender $9.99
Cliff Original is a men's grooming product company, but I was recently given a gift box of their products and I fell in love with the exfoliating body bar! It has a very relaxing, therapeutic scent that I love. I love Lavender scents. It's important to have an exfoliator for your body to remove the dry skin.

2. Fresh Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil $52.00
I have oily skin so I was very apprehensive to try this face oil when I got it as a sample! I was afraid it would make me break out and be an oily mess, but I was wrong! It's super gentle and delivered the right amount of hydration for my face.

3. GLOW for a cause Body Butter in Wish $14.00
I'm such a sucker for body butters. I love the feel of them on my skin. The softer the better in my opinion. I like to be extra soft all year round, so I use body butters on the daily! It's crucial for hydrating your skin to use a thick lotion after you exfoliate the dry skin away.

4. Fresh Rose Face Mask $62.00
I'm just gonna throw it out there, I'm obsessed with anything rose. I love the scent soo much! I'm also obsessed with trying new face masks. This mask has been the one that I've reached for all season. I usually go for a purifying mask vs. hydrating but my skin has been very dry recently. If you have dry skin and looking for a moisturizing mask, this will be a favorite for you!

5. Clinique Moisturize Surge Overnight Mask $34.50
I think Clinique is awesome at making moisturizers. I'm never disappointed by their lotions. To really winter-proof your skin, you have to have a good moisturizer! This one feels so good on my skin. I love putting this one under my eyes before bed. It leaves me glowy, not oily... just how I like it!

6. Fresh Soy Face Cleanser $15.00
There are so many Fresh products because I've recently gotten a lot of Fresh samples from Sephora. I have fallen in love with how gentle their products are! My face has been dry and peeling recently so I've need a very gentle facial cleanser and this one has been the one for me.

What products are you guys loving in this bitter cold?
I hope you're having a lovely week!

Love,

Christina xx
