Wellness | Making Smoothie Bowls + A Low Residue (Colitis + Crohn's Friendly) Recipe
Hi, guys!
I've been seeing this delicious and beautiful smoothie bowls pop up all over my social media feeds. I've been really craving one and really curious to see what I could come up with. Honestly, most of these smoothie bowls look more like art than a snack haha. I couldn't imagine mine turning out looking like a masterpiece, but I knew I'd be happy if it turned out somewhat decent and tasted good! There's one major thing that I knew my bowl would be lacking in and that's toppings. Nuts and fruits and coconut shavings are all popular toppings and I don't eat most of those things with the low-residue diet that I follow. I had to get creative in choosing the toppings for my bowl.
I've recently discovered PBfit peanut butter powder and I absolutely love it! Peanut butter is my staple food. I eat it so much that I'm always looking for new ways to use it in recipes. When I found out about the PBfit peanut butter powder, I knew I had to have it in my diet. This has been incredible for my eating plan. PBfit has 90% less fat than regular peanut butter. It's also packed with protein! It's natural and gluten-free. It's only made of 3 ingredients: peanuts, coconut palm sugar, and kosher salt. I love what it's made of and I love how versatile it is to cook with! If you combine it with water it becomes a normal peanut butter spread. You can use it as a protein powder or combine it with another protein powder for a boost before a workout. You can put it into pancake, or waffle batters, smoothies, and smoothie bowls! It's seriously so delicious.
