Fashion For Good: She Has A Name Clothing Swap (Columbus, OH)
Hi, guys!
Recently, Fred and I attended the She Has A Name clothing swap at The Roosevelt Coffeehouse. It was an incredible event that raised awareness for labor trafficking! There was an opportunity to donate your gently used clothes before and during the event. The tickets were only $10 a person and each guest was allowed to take their first 5 articles of clothing for free and each additional item was only a $1 more! That's an amazing steal and all for such a good cause. When I first heard about the whole idea of the swap, I fell in love! A lot of us have at least a couple articles of clothing laying around that we could donate and it's always fun to shop for new bargain deals once you've cleaned out your closet!
She Has A Name is a community of abolitionists that fight human trafficking through education, collaboration, and survivor care. They act as a community resource to help teach about human trafficking and the needs of the survivors. They offer classes to offer this framework and to serve survivors. They act as a resource to survivors to teach them skills and help them get back into the workplace and community and they also focus on survivor care.
Their mission is truly incredible. For more information, check out their website here.
You can also donate to the cause here.
& If you or someone you know has been a victim of human trafficking, you can call the National Trafficking Hotline at 1.888.373.7888
The Roosevelt Coffeehouse is absolutely amazing as well! The swap was held here and Fred and I stayed afterwards for some coffee & treats. I love this place because they work to fight local and global injustices. It's wonderful knowing that you're supporting their great efforts to fight unclean water, hunger, and human trafficking. If you're ever in the area definitely stop by,
