 Hi, guys!

Welcome to my take on Little Red Riding Hood. :)

I've been wanting to recreate Little Red Riding Hood for awhile now and I'm so glad I was able to get one recreate post in this winter. I have a few spring recreates planned, but I'm not sure if I will be able to do them or not. This is an uncertain time and I really don't know when things will start to return to normal. However, if you do have any specific recreates that you would like me to do, please let me know. I will add them to the list for a future time!

I think Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf would make such an adorable couples halloween costume idea. It's really simple to do and I found the coolest wolf mask on Amazon, it's linked below. I'm also obsessed with this red velvet cape. I found it on Poshmark, but I linked the closest one I could find below!

After Halloween last year, I decided to make recreates a theme for the blog. I got such an incredible amount of feedback and support on those posts that I decided to make it a thing! I learned that many of you were wanting me to make more recreates and not just for Halloween costumes.
I loved the idea and I'm gonna do my best to make it happen for you! I'm planning on it being more of a regular post type in the future.

If you're one of my friends that really enjoy the recreates, I hope you like this one!
Hopefully this can serve as a little break from all of the chaos going on around you.

One of my favorite quotes is
"Imagination is the only weapon in the war against reality."
- Lewis Carroll

Imagination is a glorious skill to possess, especially in the hard and trying times. I've been struggling with a lot of anxiety during this time and I know I'm not alone it that. I already miss walking around with Fred and just having fun outside.
It's made me realize all of the wonderful blessings that I often take for granted.

I'm praying for God's healing and mercy to shower and protect us.
In this time, I pray that all will come to know Jesus as Christ.
And I pray that the lives of many will be saved by his mercy and love for us.
"Maybe there is a beast... Maybe it's only us."

- W.G.

He Said,
"Red Riding Hood,
What are you doing in the wood?"
She quite forgot what mother said,
And cried:
"My Granny's ill in bed,
I have not very far to go,
Her cottage is quite close, you know."

-Charles Perrault
"May you always run free beneath the moon's pale light."

- unknown author, found on Pinterest
"But grandmother,
what big eyes
you have"
she said
"the better to
see you with
my dear."

- Charles Perrault
"Off he ran, and Red Riding Hood went on her way,
But often she lingered and played,
And made as she went quite a pretty nosegay
With the wild flowers that grew in the glade."

- Walter Crane
"She is just a girl with stars in her eyes,
storms in her heart,
wolves beneath her skin
and a love story soul."

- unknown author, found on tattoohadassahblog
"Wolves and women have much in common. Both share a wild spirit. Women and wolves are instinctual creatures, able to sense the unseen. They are loyal, protective of their pacs and of their pups. They are wild and beautiful. Both have been hunted and captured. Even in captivity, one can see in the eyes of a woman, or a wolf, the longing to run free, and the determination that should the opportunity arise, whoosh, they will be gone..."

- Clarissa Pinkola Estes
"When I was a little girl they spoke of a legend,
about a wolf and a hunger,
and why I should never wear red,
but the moon pulled the tide
and I was christened a woman,
and the legend was rewritten
when I became the wolf
in the end."

- Nicole Lyons
"Your deep dark secret can't be held for much longer,
Your red silk hood will only keep you hidden for so much time,
That big bad wolf isn't hiding in your closet,
That big bad wolf is hiding in your mind."

- (v.f.)
We all stand together in this.
We're with you.
We're praying for you.
We're sending you much love & our warmest wishes.
