Beauty | Activated Charcoal: The Hype Is Real + My Organic Teeth Whitening Routine

Hi, guys!

I'm sure most of y'all have heard about activated charcoal. I've been seeing it everywhere lately! I was very intrigued when I first started seeing people pop up on social media smiling with completely black teeth. It seemed kind of crazy that a pitch-black powder could whiten your teeth, so I decided to try it for myself. Activated charcoal is now my go-to teeth-whitening method because it's an all-natural solution! I've been using the Carbon Coco teeth whitening powder and toothpaste. You can get them together in the Ultimate Carbon Kit.
I like to whiten up my teeth, because I drink a lot of coffee and tea so my teeth are susceptible to staining. Activated charcoal powder has been the answer for my organic teeth whitening search. I'm sure you guys know that I'm always looking for ways to swap out products in my routine that aren't organic for all natural, safer alternatives. I also LOVE that it doesn't hurt my teeth, or my gums! In the past, my teeth have been very sensitive while using other powerful whiteners. The powder can bind to bacteria and absorb plaque to help remove stains. Another positive is, it's fluoride free and without any added chemicals.
So what is in it?
It's a oxidized version of charcoal in the form of a powder.  It's made of 100% organic coconut shell activated charcoal with a bit of bentonite powder and lemon myrtle.
Activated charcoal actually changes the pH balance in your mouth and helps to prevent cavities and bad breath!

Other than a teeth whitener, I've also seen activated charcoal being used for:

1) Face Masks/Cleansers
2) Posion Remedies
3) Bug Bites/Stings
4) Mold Cleaner/ House Cleaner Purposes
5) Bloating And Indigestion Relief

I've used a couple of cleansers that contain activated charcoal and I've really liked them. I haven't tried any of the other uses though. Let me know if you have!

Teeth Whitening Routine:

1) Wet toothbrush with water and dip into the Activated Charcoal Tooth Polish

2) Brush my teeth with the polish for 2-3 minutes

3) Spit it out and rinse my mouth out

4) Brush my teeth with the Activated Carbon Toothpaste

5) Rinse my mouth out completely
Also, have you guys tried oil pulling?
Do you want to? I'm curious about it, so let me know!

Love,

Christina xx
